Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Brevty ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users of the Service.
Description of Service
Brevty is an AI-powered reading application that allows users to upload PDF documents and receive AI-generated summaries, highlights, and insights. The Service is provided "as is" and is continually evolving with new features and improvements.
User Accounts
To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. When creating your account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Upload illegal, harmful, threatening, or offensive content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Use the Service to distribute malware or engage in phishing
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
- Share your account credentials with others
Content Ownership and License
You retain full ownership of the documents you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant Brevty a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
AI-generated summaries and insights created from your documents are provided for your personal use. We do not claim ownership of AI-generated content based on your documents.
Subscription and Payments
Some features of the Service may require a paid subscription. If you purchase a subscription:
- You authorize us to charge your chosen payment method
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
- Prices may change with notice; continued use constitutes acceptance
- Refunds are handled in accordance with Apple App Store policies
AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
The summaries, insights, and other AI-generated content provided by the Service are created by artificial intelligence and are provided "as is" for informational purposes only. AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions.
You should not rely solely on AI-generated content for critical decisions. Always refer to the original source material for accuracy. Brevty is not responsible for any decisions made based on AI-generated content.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Brevty shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claims arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time by posting the revised Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of the Republic of Korea.
